Privacy Policy

Effective 19 September 2026.

Arnel Jewelry Repair, LLC (“we”, “us”) runs this website, arneljewelry.com, and the Monterey Store at 514 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, FL 34994. This page says what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. Nothing here is complicated: we run a small shop, and we collect what we need to take an order and get it to you.

What we collect

When you place an order. Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and what you ordered — plus the internet (IP) address and browser you ordered from, which the shop software records with every order to help us spot fraud. We keep this in our order system so we can review the order, prepare it for pickup or shipping, contact you about it, and keep the records the tax authorities require. Where sales tax applies, the checkout works it out on our own server from rates we keep here; your address is not sent to anyone else for that.

How you found us. The shop software also notes how you arrived at the site — the page that linked you here and any campaign tags in the link — and keeps that with your order. That is for our own understanding of where orders come from; it is not shared with advertisers.

Your card. You enter your card details into a form provided by Square, our payment processor. The card number goes straight to Square and never reaches our website or our server. We see only the card type, the last four digits, and whether the payment was authorized. Apple Pay and Google Pay work the same way, through Square. Square’s own privacy policy applies to that information.

How we charge your card. When you order online, your card is authorized for the amount but not charged. We look over every online order first. If we approve it, the charge goes through; if we cannot fulfil it, the authorization is released and you are not charged. Your bank may show the authorization as pending for a few days either way.

When you simply visit. Like every web server, ours records the pages you request, your IP address, the browser you used and the time. We use these logs to keep the site running and to block attacks. Those logs are deleted after about two weeks. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which also counts page views for us without cookies (see below).

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages and pieces they look at, what goes in a cart, and whether a visit ends in an order or a tap on one of our phone numbers. Google receives your IP address, the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and, if you place an order, the order number, the pieces and the amounts. It does not receive your name, email address, phone number or street address from us. We may also use it to see whether our Google ads lead to visits and orders. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Cookies

The site sets a few cookies of its own so that your cart survives between pages and so the checkout works. They identify your browser, not you. The cart cookie lasts about two days; most of the others expire when you close your browser. The cookie that remembers how you arrived at the site can last up to six months. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) to recognize a returning browser; they last up to two years. We do not use advertising cookies.

Who else sees your information

  • Square — processes the payment and is also the point-of-sale system in our shop, so your name, email address and order details are recorded there as well.
  • Cloudflare — delivers the site and protects it from attacks, so every visit passes through it, including your IP address and the page you asked for. It also gives us a count of page views, without cookies or advertising. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that.
  • Our email provider — sends the order emails, so it handles your email address and the contents of those messages.
  • A shipping carrier — receives your name and address if we ship your order.
  • Google — measures how the site is used, through Google Analytics (see above). The map on our Visit and home pages is provided by Google Maps, and the site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts. When those load, your browser sends your IP address to Google, and Google may set its own cookies for the map. Google’s privacy policy applies to that.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone else, except if the law requires it.

Accounts

The site does not create customer accounts. Every order is a guest order, and you are not asked to choose a password. The site does not take product reviews either.

How long we keep it

Order records — including the IP address and browser recorded with the order — are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is several years. Server logs are deleted after about two weeks.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will delete it unless we have to keep an order record for tax purposes. Call the Monterey Store on (772) 353-0681 or email david@arneljewelry.com. Please include your order number if you have one.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
